Oh my goodness, it is finally here!! The big reveal week! This week, I will wrap up small, final details, focusing my time on tiny, last-minute stressors. I don’t know about you, but it’s always the least significant details that overwhelm me the most.
In the beginning, this project involved sorting through nearly 300 photos.
THREE HUNDRED!
Each photo was individually scrutinized, researched, and assessed for its use in the final product. At the end of the assessment, only half were used.
After the photos were selected, I went through them again, one by one, and organized them to tell an incredible story.
At one point someone asked me how I sat through hours of photo assessing. My reply was: how could I not.
Memorialists
As a professional memorialist, I have spent my fair share of time sorting through photos. Whether they be for porcelains, etchings, or plaques, projects often require that my team and I sort through TONS of photos.
And, I love that part!
I love looking at old photos and learning the stories behind them. The time-period, clothing, surrounding background, and the subject(s) in focus all work together to tell a story.
And this project most certainly tells a story! It is one I can’t wait to share with you!
